Setting his rod down on the dock, Yu instead focuses on pulling at the -- person's? -- hand, trying to lift them from the water. He doesn't know if he'll ... hurt ... this creature or not, but if he doesn't get a better look, he won't be able to get the hook out.
God, they're heavy, he's soaking wet from all the flapping and splashing that huge tail did, but he doesn't let go. At least now with his rod down, Yosuke won't fee that sharp tugging on his fin so much anymore. The pain will be there, still, but not pulling.
Without realizing it, Yu starts to hold his breath. Just what is he going to see when he pulls this ... mermaid? ... out of the water?
